EPG update time

Would it be possible for sage in their EPG API to expose a simple method that does refresh epg??

instead of doing it the hard way, you could just update the xmltv(my useage) or whatever and then tell sage to procces it.

Beyo..TV (guess) has it, why not sage???

what's the hard way: Setup->channel setup-><source>-><select channel->ENTER->ENTER->HOME?

In my system, I have my XMLTV generation scheduled at 7am, then one day I trigger a manual update a 9am... it will repeat every 24hrs thereafter! I have not touched it for months!

Have you noticed that it drifts slightly later over time? Not sure how it works with XMLTV, but I have noticed with the standard EPG updates that on mine it seems to mark the time for the next update 24 hours from the time it completes the last one (instead of from when it started), and slowly drifts later and later.

Can't tell for sure now anymore though with all the changes and testing with beta 2.1, but did notice it seemed to be doing that before. Originally was a 4:45am, and eventully had drifted up to after 5:00am after serveral months of continuous running.

Anyone else noticed that, or is it just me?

Call me crazy,but, I want it to be configurable, If they give out a decent API for xmltv why should I wait for a specific time??

That's not the way, 2.1 is comming out, why not just give the api, and get rid of all these cross eyed ways of getting the program to do what you want.

When I download a schedual, I want it there this minute, not in 23.44 (and a half) hours.

This is my opininon but many other softwares have it so why not sage.
