PVR350 TVOUT UI IS TOO BIG

I got the PVR350 working without any trouble except for one thing. The video fits the screen fine but the UI is too big. The menu and channel setting often go above the top of the screen and off to the right side of the screen.

Thanks.

You can adjust the overscan settings from the Detailed Setup screen to shrink the PVR-350's UI to fit within you TV's borders.

When you adjust the overscan setting be aware that there is a setting for top left then the next one is for bottom right. I was adjusting the top left and not noticing that there was a bottom right adjustment. Gotta get new glasses and a biger monitor to work with!

A friend had a projector with a 100 inch screen, but the bulb blow (literally). Gonna be a while before he afford to replace that $400 bulb (foolish people and their overly expensive play toys).

Overscan just moves it and doesn't seem to adjust the size unless I am doing something wrong. I figured out how to fix this by changing the "Sage.properties" file. There is a line that starts with ui/ui_overscan_correction_perct_height and ui/ui_overscan_correction_perct_width

Those are probaby the property settings that the Overscan Settings end up changing. As mentioned above, Overscan Settings is a 2-part process: adjust the upper left corner postion (x,y offset) & then adjust the lower right corner (% height/width). See page 120 of the 2.0 manual.

Maybe that interface ought to be changed, since many people miss the 2nd part -- I know I did, at first.

On this line... I have a PVR350, the UI is very unstable, seems like it doesn't update. When adjusting OVERSCAN ever 3 movements the screen on the PVR is output as BLACK. This means MOST menus dont show, when moving the arrow on the keyboard or remote the menu DOES display but it hasn't updated the screen. Any ideas???

Tried Original PVR driver and the one from the site here (for the PVR250) both have the same setting............

Overscan DOES fix the "only some of the UI on screen" issue, but my PVR350 (UK PAL-I) seems Shacky with it, either way the Output works with data for films. At the moment i have had to disable the UI and use the PC output for settings then switch to watch the TV on the output.

Seems like a pain when its supposed to work....

Also Is there a way to start SAGE TV but have it minimised so it doesn't show on the desktop (making it a true background task so the PVR350 Output is the only way needed to set all stuff up)?
