NVDVD Decoders with TT 2.0
Anyone else out there using the new NVDVD decoders that came with TT 2.0? I seem to be able to use the Video decoder fine in SageTV but if I select the NVDVD Audio decoder as soon as video runs SageTV crashes.
Also, using the NVDVD video decoder with DVD's in Sage seems to remove my ability to FF. I also think the timebar is not updating. I am wondering if any of this has to do with the fact I had NVDVD 2.55 installed prior to the TT 2.0 installation. Thanks! |

I have heard that the advanced audio decoder is locked down to TT2 because of Dolby licensing.

I did not purchse the version of TT that allows me to decode DTS or DD, but that does not mean they are not the same version and just crippled.
Visually, they look great. Before I was using NVDVD 2.55. Just a minor upgrade. I find that DXVA deinterlacing on my 5700 is a little better too. The DVD side of things has me worried right now with them. I also experience this in TT 2.0 so it is either something wrong in my system or an issue with the decoders. One note, TT recommends that I install SP2. That may be why things are a little hosed. However, I have heard too many SP2/Sage horror storries to try it right now . Anyone install DX 9c have any issues with Sage? |

I've been running SP2+DX9c on both my Sage systems no problem

I would suggest SP2 because youll need it for further updates....but you could probably hold of on DX9c unless you had a strong desire for PS3 support.

I'm using SP2 and DX9c with no problem. I also had NVDVD 2.55 installed, and then installed TT2 without uninstalling the old drivers. I am having no problems so far, I just dont think that the new decoders are all that. The blacks seem to contain lots of large pixelation which look auful. I probably need to get a better graphics card to see the benifit though.

Using DX9c with SP1 fine with DXVA. I tried to use SP2 and Sage FF would lock up and stutter if DXVA was used (tested with Sonic and NVDVD decoders). So, backed off SP2 and kept DX9c using DXVA.
