No tuners on initial setup screen (WF WV2000)
I just installed Sage and on launch im presented with the initial setup screens. It asks me to select a tuner, however there are none listed.
I was a little surprised by this as I expected such devices to be compatible with most things (it works seamlessly with other aps such as Windows Movie Maker) but it seems this is not the case. I have a Leadtek Winfast DV2000 (the one with built in firewire) and it does not show. Is this tuner incompatible? are their any updates I can download to get my card working? The Winfast Software is truly awful! |

Only the cards SageTV lists are currently supported and all are hardware encoding cards.

Thanks for the reply
So there is no support for the Conexant CX23881 ADC? This is a bit dissapointing, are their any future plans for Sage to include this? |

SageTV has alwasy been for a solid PVR experience and software cards just don't cut it in that area. For simple recording they can get you by though.
Not sure if Sage will go down that path or not. Only time will tell . |

D'oh
Do you know if this card will work with Media Center The Uled/Leadtek software team spend more time on awful GUI's rather than making decent software. |

Media Center is also only hardware encoding. Try BeyondTV. They do some software cards.

A good one (Hauppauge 250) can be had OEM for around $99. I would recommend some variant of that. Just make sure it uses the new chipset (you can tell because it does not have a heatsink).
Good luck! |

The PVR 150's look like they're going for about $70, but I'll dito mlbdude's recommendation for the 250. They are a proven card, hopefully the 150's will be as good, but we won't know until they get to the hands of some users.
