Can you increase storage space for SageTV beyond 1 drive?

I currently have SageTV running on a system with one 160GB hard disk (it's the largest drive my BIOS supports).

If I were to purchase a 2nd 160GB drive, would Sage automatically utilize the extra space, or are there any settings that would allow Sage to know about the extra drive. In other words, is there any user intervention when adding a second drive.

The same goes for adding a 3rd drive....

Thanks for any info!

Steve

You can easily use multiple hard drives. See page 113 of the manual for Setup -> Detailed Setup -> General -> Video Directories. All you have to do is Add New Directory & specify a location on the new drive.

Then, for how SageTV will manage the space with multiple Video Directories, see page 166: Appendix C: Managing Recording Files.

Using this mechanism, I am using three drives. Two are on the local machine and one is mapped, over the network, from a remote machine.
