SageTV on SATA Isn't Working
I just reinstalled SageTV and Nvidia's NVDVD 3 (Forceware 3) to a pair of WD Raptors set up as SATA RAID0. However, when I try to watch TV using the Nvidia encoder, I get an MPEG2 error: "Failed connecting video stream to the Overlay Mixer."
I'm using NVDVD3 and VMR9 in the video settings window. I've tried using the Overlay mode as well, but I get the same results. This setup works fine on my non-SATA drives, so I'm a little puzzled...<scratches head>

I really doubt it's the hard drives. I've never used NVDVD so I wouldn't know where to begin to troubleshoot it.

I believe I had a problem like this in the past. Try using a different audio decoder.

I really don't think it's the hard drive, either. I used Casper XP to move my Windows drive to the SATA setup, and SageTV worked okay. However, on a new WinXP install (with SP2), no joy.

"Failed connecting video stream to the Overlay Mixer."
Check that the DXVA settings in SageTV are set to default If you are using ultraVNC, disable the video hook driver (or update it to the latest version). Check that hardware accelleration is disabled in NVDVD reinstall DirectX And as a last resoirt, try using VMR9 renderer (and enable 3d accelleration)
