Intelligent Record Specific Channels
Does anyone know if it is possible to turn Intelligent recording on and have it only record specific channels?? My wife loves movies and I would like to be able to have IR record movies on HBO, and Starz for her but I don't want everything else IR likes to record.
Thanks, Randy |

So far, there is no way to set such IR options. As far as I know, it will always use every channel you have enabled in Channel Setup. But, of course, if you remove a channel, you can no longer watch anything on it.
You could go through the schedule & mark all the extra stuff as Don't Like. A better alternative might be to use one of the custom STVs that let you view upcoming movies on particular channels & then pick the ones you want. I know you can do that with the malore & MalDude STV; not sure about the others. - Andy

Thanks, I had just installed Nielms combo STV and it is working great. Really like the weather stuff. I didn't think there was a way to pick specific channels with IR but I will look into the movies list idea. I had looked at it before and couldn't really see a good use for it but your idea makes it look like I can pretty easily pick a whole bunch of movies for Sage to record. Good workaround for now.
Cool, thanks.. Sage just keeps getting better and better. Randy |
