Record Volume Differ Between PVR-250 and PVR-usb2

I just installed my first WinTV-PVR-usb2 and have noticed that the record levels are very different between my PVR-250 and PVR-usb2 (the PVR-usb2 is quieter). I have the following questions:

1) Is this normal?
2) Is there any way to adjust the record volume ov the PVR-usb2 seperately from the PVR-250? I only see one entry for Scart1Volums, so I assume that there is only one volume control for all devices.

this is what was posted at SHS's
not sure if it works for the PVR usb2 since it appears to be the same as the one for the pvr 250

but you can try it

MPEG Audio Record Volume Level Tip
Open Registry Editor,
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hauppauge\hcwTVDlg\AudioControls
look for Scart1_Volume it the record volume level key.
Use the range 100-127 Decimal, Try small steps.
Thank Barnabas

I have that already. There is only one entry, not one for each card or type. I have the value set to the default (7501, hex) since it gives the best audio level for DVD recordings from the PVR-250. If I can't control the record levels by card type, I may have to look into replacing all of my PVR-250s with PVR-usb2s (there are only two, so it won't be that bad). I was just hoping there would be a work around (as well as wondering if others have seen this issue).

Oops, my bad (I was). I thought you were talking about that one too(doh!). I'll give your entry a try and see if I can adjust the record volume.

Now I'm going to have to pay attention to this... I've always attributed different volumes to different channels (whose volumes do vary quite a bit), but now you've made me curious.

It looks as if the Hauppauge and Frey Tech settings amplify each other. When I increased the Hauppauge value from 74 (hex) to 7A (hex), the recordings made through the PCI cards got louder as well. I think that Sage needs to add volume to the screen that does color calibration.
