Hitting "Record" button deletes recordings w/no warning!

Does anyone have any great ideas about how to stop Sage from deleting a recording when you accidentally hit the "Record" button on your remote while a given program is highlighted? Could we get a warning or something saying it will be deleted?

When IR is off, non-manual recordings & non-favorites are auto deleted. You can eithe rturn IR on or edit the properties file & set:

seeker/clear_partials_and_unwanted_when_ir_off=false

Actually, you both missed my point.

Steps:
1. Manually record any given show.
2. Highlight the show to watch it or get info, etc.
3. Hit the "Record" button at this point by mistake without realizing it.
4. Your show is gone with no warning. - oops.

Could we get a warning?

Since you can't get a warning, the posters above provided what you can do. Submit that as a bug to Frey and maybe they will include it in the next release.

I didn't miss your point, I was just explaining what happens & how to solve it for now. I forgot to suggest submiting it as a bug, like mlbdude said to do.

I still think the auto-delete process is too aggressive...

Oh, yes. I see. I missed the work-around. Thanks. I'll change that setting.

Sorry for the accusation of missing the point.
