MPEG2 Audio Error in PlayBack

First time user. Installed everything. Started Sage TV. Click on a cable channel to watch, and I get this message:

There was a MPEG2 Audio Error in PlayBack. Details: Unable to find the specified audio renderer filter Errcode=0x80070057

Any suggestions?

Which audio renderer an audio decoder are you using? Which have you tried?

I think my system is using the Hauppauge PVR-250MCE for audio. I'm considering re-installing the card and related drivers. Did not say so in first post, but when I get this error, I cannot view video or audio. All other resutes of Sage work except the ability to watch live TV.

You configure your audio and video options in Detailed Setup. Go to the audio section and see what Renderer and Decoder you have. Try some different combinations.

Thanks mlbdude. Didn't realize this. I'll try different combinations tonight and let you know in the morning if it's a fix.

yeah it is not a driver issue
you should not need to reinstall them

for audio decoder & render and video decoder & render
do not leave as default
if that helps
