Cable company does an upgrade now I have no channels

So in the last couple days our cable company Madison Telco Staunton Illinois has done some major upgrades. I have lost every channel on Sagetv 64 bit with a Hauppauge Quad-hd pci tuner. I have rescanned but come up with 0 channels that work.

If I scan with Win-Tv 10 all of my channels are there no idea what to do

After the re-scan, are you testing via (1) the Guide, or (2) Channel Setup? Best to use Channel Setup to insure exactly which tuner is being tested. On the other hand, testing via the Guide gives you no control over which tuner is being accessed.

What program is this using?

That tuner seems to be for ATSC (over the air) and clear QAM (cable) broadcasts. The cable industry standard was once to broadcast everything in clear QAM. However most cable companies changed over the encrypted QAM years ago. Honestly I am surprised that you have had access to clear QAM for so long. If your company has really changed over the encrypted QAM, this change means users have to use a cable box, cable card tuner, or streaming device to watch their cable shows. That tuner will be worthless when it comes to viewing cable shows now. You can convert it to OTA (ATSC) use however.

Most cable companies offered a free cable box or two when they switched over to encrypted QAM. However those offers were always for a limited time and eventually the companies will start charging a rental fee for the box.

lol - wow, he IS a lucky lad if it lasted that long. Our cable co. killed Clear QAM maybe 10 years ago?
