That looks fantastic, I wish I could say I had time to help out write some code, but I'll happily be a guinea pig when you need one.

Timer for an update

I have been busy coding and getting some base functions working and thought it was time to show some of the work that isn't just code.

Keep in mind this is all test data so ignore the duplicates etc. And the functionality is increasing all the time but there is MUCH MORE to do to make this usable. But I have a working player for local media (not from the EPG yet), the EPG is live data and the list of media in the media lists are retrieved from my test sage server.

I am also looking forward to this!

Will the video play on the Android phone if remote (with Josh's transcoding maybe)?

Playback is a complex topic I will continue to work through. For now, playback would "work" remotely over a vpn connection or through remote ip access... as long as you can get to the jetty web apps remotely then playback would "work". Not sure if it will work well as I have yet to test this javascript HTML5 player remotely. The formats it supports are also limited by this specific player so some type of format validation and streaming may be required.

I have already started the discussion with Josh to see if I can leverage the transcoding plugin and how that may tie to a web app. We will discuss this more but I first needed to get basic media selection and playback working first.
