Media Import Directory for NAS Folder

Has anyone figured out how to setup a media import directory (within SageTV) that points to a NAS folder? I am using the SageTV docker on Unraid 6.9.2, every time I attempt I get the dreaded "Invalid directory" message. If anyone has figured this out, please provide an example of the "name of the directory" syntax that needs to be set up in the SageTV docker, along with the username/password that needs to be set up on the NAS.

Yes I've done that. I think I left the folder mapping at the defaults that Stuckless configured, and worked with that. But I seem to recall creating a new folder so maybe I changed it.

Attached is a picture of my docker folder settings, where you can see that Path 3 for imported videos is set to /mnt/user/Media/Imported_Videos/.

In the docker, the path is \unraid\Media\Imported_Videos\, which is what you set the path to in Media Center import Directories.

I don't have it password protected, so any computer can read/write to the Media folder. In Unraid, the folder and all subfolders are set to 777 so full permissions for everyone.

I don't think I was clear in my original post. Alongside my Unraid server, I have a QNAP NAS device, which has all of my ripped music on it. I want to set up the SageTV docker to point to the music folder on my QNAP NAS, so that I can playback music stored on my QNAP NAS from my HD300s, etc. So what I am looking for is the syntax for the Media Center Import Directories screen in SageTV. In addition, I know that the QNAP NAS will need to be set up with a username/password to allow the Unraid/SageTV user access to the folder on the QNAP NAS, but I am unclear on what username/password the SageTV docker would use when it attempts to access the QNAP NAS device.

I'm sure I could copy all of my ripped music files to the Unraid server to make it work, but I would prefer to just have a single copy of the music files on my QNAP NAS, rather than having duplicate copies of 200GB+ of music files.

Use the unassigned devices plugin on unraid from community applications. Once installed you can mount any NAS location which will then have an unraid path you can use within SageTV configuration
