How does "Auto-Delete" work?

I may have found an issue with Spinning Circles but may have set myself up for another issue.

First off, my wife is a recording hoarder. All the old westerns and family shows that she can get.

I have a 1TB Recording drive (local to SageTV) and I move the shows to Import Directories (unRaid NAS) daily.

So the Recording Directory always has plenty of space.
I noticed in my logs, that the Scheduler task had tons of Manual Records from the past. So I have Cleared the Manual Record flag from a lot of them. But now I see that from the WebUI, I have:

Video Disk Space
Available: 991.77 GB
Used: 5.79 GB
[Auto-Delete Recordings]: 4113 recordings using 9513.49 GB
Next 48hrs has 23 upcoming requested recordings requiring: 50.00 GB
Total Video Content: 8733.19hrs

So as long as the Video Disk Space (Recording Directory) has plenty of space, then the Auto-Delete Recordings should NOT get deleted?
Or am I setting myself up for low WAF if her shows get deleted by SageTV?

What Percentage Full does Auto-Delete kick in (if that is how it works)?
