Issue with PC client when bringing window back from minimized

I've seen several threads on this and they usually end with install LAV filters for windows 10 but that didn't work. I'm running version 9 and noticed when I minimize the window and bring it back the video is very laggy and stutters but the audio is fine. Any other suggestions?

I usually watch on HD300s so this issue could have existed forever.

Update: Installed the new client and let it install LAV filters as part of install and have the same issue.

Update 2: Had a Sage v7 license so installed that and then installed 32-bit version of Sage v9 over top of it and still have the same issue.

Can anyone else confirm they have this issue or that they don't and tell me what your playback settings are? This is for the Client software.

Thanks

I never use Sage in windowed mode, but have you tried changing the renderer (vmr9, etc)? I would suspect either that or your video card driver, rather than the codec.

Try checking the LAV Filters Video config.

What is the Deinterlacing Mode set to?
If this is being played back on a computer monitor (rather than a TV)
maybe setting this mode to Disabled (Progressive) may help.

I think the LAV Filters that are part of the SageTV install are slightly older. Updating to the latest 0.74.1.

Try running Task Manager or Process Explorer to see what is going on with the system. I'd put PE and Sage in windows so you can see them both, minimize Sage, do whatever, then restore Sage into the window (not full screen) and see if you can get the same problem. If so then PE should show you where the bottleneck is, or at least some clues.

I sort of do this on my HTPC except I don't minimize Sage, I just go from full screen into a window and then run other apps on top of it. Then I'll bring Sage back to the front and full screen and I never have any problems.

I set the LAV filter to use NVIDIA card and it will work on overlay only. I would think the other renderers would work?

After I got this working I changed the interlacing mode to every option and it didn't seem to help or hurt. Thanks though, still investigating. I would think the other options would work. I'm running it on a 1080ti.
