If you’re looking to build experimental SageTV servers...

Microcenter is selling 120gb, Inland SSD drives for $16!
At that price, you could have a clean backup, and do a couple of test builds with Linux, different Windows versions, whatever.
I bought one just for a backup of my C: drive.
Great.

YOu can throw 1 or 2 of those in your unRAID server and have a very decent cache drive

Not online? I didn’t check - sorry. The 240gb’s were $26.95

Remember when a 1gb 3.5” drive was $800?

I paid $1500 for a 1GB IDE drive. And 6 months later $900 for a SCSI 1GB.

I remember buying single-sided 5.25” floppy disks for my Apple ][e and using a hole punch to create a notch so they could be used double-sided for twice the storage.

I remember 64k memory, 2x 8" floppy drives (boot/OS & pgm on one, 2nd for data), 12" green screen (pre-8088) working in a cargo container half buried in a sand dune in the desert in Egypt at night (way too hot during the day)

I don't remember what I paid for my CMD 2 GB C64 compatible HD but I think is was < 1000. Then when I was saving up for a CMD Super CPU they sold the business.
