Question hd200 7.0.12 fix Add experimental dvb subpicture decoding in transport streams

Quote:
Changes for beta version *20100716-0* include the following:

Core changes:
1. Fix dvd subpicture decoding
2. Add experimental dvb subpicture decoding in transport streams (Need server version at least 7.0.12 and reindexing)
3. Add forcergb option to custom video modes to force rgb colorspace output on hdmi.
this is support for DVB subtitles?

Could it be a typo and they meant dvd subpicture decoding, ad DVB is usually written in upper case

I've never heard of a DVD transport stream have you? Granted DVB means very little to me here in the States, but I know you DVB folks would be extremely happy.

Good news. Well be sure and submit a beta ticket with your results - they're obviously working on it which is very good news!

I installed all the latest betas ( for HD200 and server ), but I cannot see any subtitles . I have the option to tick subtitles when playing live TV , but nothing is displayed ( tried on DVB-T and DVB-S signal ).

Also, there is no option for subtitles on pre-recorded shows, or shows not watched live.

No good news I am afraid : "we've found some significant issues with the
implementation we're using and are determining whether or not it will be
feasible to proceed further with dvb sub support (hence the experimental
state of it) "

Fingers crossed
