"Recording" in progress indicator?

Is there a setting or Plugin to add a "Recording in progress" indicator to SageTV?

I am used to "Windows Media Center", which put a red dot in the "tray" while a recording is in progress. But when SageTV is recording a scheduled program, there is nothing visible anywhere to indicate that a recording in in progress.

It would be great to have such a feature.

I use Gemstone and the red dot you mention shows in the top bar when in the TV menu (also, separately in the EPG). In addition, I installed the "Windows Sidebar/Desktop Gadget Support by CNCB" plugin. This handy tool lists not only what is currently being recorded but what is "on tap" as well as "free disk space."

I installed the "Windows Sidebar/Desktop Gadget", but there are 5 plugins c "Gemstone". I installed one of them but didn't get a recording dot when I clicked the Record button, so I'll try the others.

I was able to install the "Windows Sidebar Gadget" (I think. I don't see anything related to it), but Gemstone refuses to install and I'm not sure why.
