Corrupted wiz.bin running latest version 9.1.8 or

Hello

Is there any way to recover the data in a corrupted wiz.bin

Both the wiz.bin and wiz.bak are corrupted

SageTV loads
Finishes initialization
And quietly without indication
Stops

My backups seem to be corrupted too
Lots of fun lately
Started with last windows update it seems

Thanks for your time and help
Bobby

Are you sure it’s the wiz.bin at fault? Do,you see anything in the log files (sagetv_*.txt)?

If it really is corrupt, it depends upon what is left behind and how important the data is to you. Since the format is open now, theoretically you could manually repair the file with some work in a binary file editor. My standalone wiz.bin reader (https://forums.sagetv.com/forums/sho...d.php?p=577768) may be able to read most of it but I haven’t yet made a writer for it.

SageTV tv initializes a tuner and then stops in the last few lines

I started an issue on github about the SageTV interface bogging down

My log files from today should be in the google drive link

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Bf...xL1aV_ekCkqcIv

If you can find something in the last few sagetv_0.txt files ...

Moved the wiz.bin over to my sagetv recorder instance loaded it and moved it back aga

Hello,

Moved the wiz.bin over to my sagetv recorder instance loaded it and moved it back again

SageTV got to the SageTv Core is initializing Splash Screen

In the SageTV log file it’s detecting the format of each and every file

It looks like it will take about 12 hours to finish

After that I’m hoping it will start working again?

So it took 36 hours to import all the files

Then it just quietly dies while trying to import encoder three

No further debug messages, nothing

And reverted the sagetv.properties file to 9.1.7 and it started up seemingly well
