hard lockups at EOF with imported files

I'm getting hard lockups with imported files right at the end of the show. Basically, it I let it run to the end of the show I can count on having to use task manager to shut down sage and restart, at which point it loads the backup properties file. If I catch it 5-10 seconds before the end of file it doesn't 'hard' lock, but it's so unresponsive (20-30 second lag between commands) and I still have to restart it. This happens with avi's, mpeg1 and 2s, basically all files that have not been encoded with sage. I have dual 250s. But it's happening on my Sage Server and Client machine, which are completely different installs... any ideas?

thx

Are you using a custom STV?

You should refer to the SageTV 2 locks up when show is over thread.

I think that old EOF error is 350 specific. I have never seen that error when using the 250 only.

mlbdude: I am using a custom stv. However, I've gone back and tried it with the Original2.stv and it does the same thing. I haven't, however, started with a new and untouched properties file. That is, it probably had remenants of a custom stv in the properties file...

If you use Mlbdude2 or Maldude try setting this property to false:

mlbdude/auto_close_at_eof=true

This should only affect the custom STV's though. If you get it in the normal STV I would investigate decoder or renderer issues.

So I've tried Sonic decoders, Hauppauge and Nivida, all do the same thing. I've tried various settings, Overlay, VMR9, 3D disabled/enabled. I'm back to using the original stv but it still does it. I see that about 5 seconds before the EOF the CPU pegs to 100 and then just stays there, and I have to shut sage down with task manager... any other troubleshooting ideas?

You tried changing the Audio decoders too? That sucks.

unfortunately yes. Tried cycling through all the audio codec as well. It doesn't bode well for the WAF to tell her to reboot the machine after each imported file ends...
