Any updates on this?
I'm watching playoff hockey and the audio is constantly going out of sync. Wondering if there's anything I can do to rectify this once and for all.....

I never got Hauppauge devices to play nicely with long recordings. Recording manually using only the Hauppauge recording software would have the same sync issues. I finally switched to using an HDMI IPTV network encoder as described here and problem solved. Say goodbye to 5.1 audio if you go this route.

Well I had swapped out devices b/c i had spares laying around and hadn't run into the issue for a solid month on my HD-PVRs and then sure enough it started happening again, though not nearly as quickly / consistently. Rebooting of the STB + HD-PVR does seem to fix it though clearly that's not a long term solution.
I'm pretty stumped myself. Though I agree, I do have one U-Ray device that's connected via HDMI and that never has this issue.
