Hello, I just got my Hauppauge HD-PVR hooked up and my recordings are out of sync and they progressively get worse during playback. I've updated the firmware to 1.5.6 but it still has the same problem. When watching live TV it is fine and stays in sync, only the recordings go out of sync. My system specs are Vista 64-bit with AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ with nVidia 8800GT graphics card.

Just to clarify, the video lags behind the sound and gets worse by the second as it plays. After about 1 minute of playback, the video is about 5-10 seconds behind the sound.

I get this every day & didn't matter if it was using this device in Windows or Linux. I just cycled the power daily and this keeps the audio in sync for a few hours on my D2 pos.

Are you certain it is in the Recording and not the playback. Have you watched the recording in another tool?

Are you using the Arcsoft Audio decoder?

If you stop and start again is the delay immediately noticeable?

How is the Audio connected to the HD-PVR?

I was getting a similar problem when I was using the 1.5.6 driver's with my newly acquired HD-PVR. On a lark, I tried installing the driver that came on the CD with the HD-PVR and after that I never had anymore audio sync issues with stuff recorded with the HD-PVR. I'm also using the optical audio input and everything has been working well for over a week. The version of my HD-PVR CD is 2.1A. According to the Driver Manager the version of the HD-PVR driver is 1.0.5.301 with a driver date of 12/03/2009
