Commercial skipping.. stopped working

I'm trying to figure out why the dark green indication of a commercial is not appearing on recordings made since 10/2. Older recordings do have these dark green sections and when I play them the commercials are skipped.

Looking in the recordings folder I see that, .txt, .log and logo.txt files are being created by comskip while it is processing the mpg file but .edl files have not being created since 10/2.

I restarted the server and I tried updating to the latest comskip but that made no difference.

I have not touched the server in many weeks so the sudden stop of creating .edl files wouldn't be a result of anything I did I don't think.

I'm stumped at the moment. Anybody have any suggestions?

Is there anything in the .log files for those files without .edl files? Have you tried running comskip manuallly, even fromt he command line, to see what it's doing?

Interesting it is processing the same mpg files as it was yesterday. Also I notice they were all recorded between 10/1 and 10/3. Nothing recorded more recently has any .log .txt or .logo.txt files.

Looking at older .log files from before the problem started I see they end with number of frames processed and time at end of run.

Looking at todays .log files None seem to reach the end and log that final date time entry. I think the same files are constantly being over written.

Guess I need to stop dirmon2 and run comskip from the command line and see if I learn anything.

Running it manually, comskip created the edl file. The .log file completed including frames processed and time at end of run.

Running it manually now on each of the .mpg files from 10/1 through 10/3 that it has been overwriting log files for.

Run manually, all the files that were previously being over written continually processed to completion and .edl files were created.

I turned dirmon2 back on and it has created .edl files for two newer recordings so far.

No Idea what the problem was. No changes have been made except manually running comskip on the files that were not completing under dirmon2 handling of comskip.
