HD PVR Commercial skipping?
Whats the deal with showanalyzer, is it going to be released soon? I read it was to be set for sept. 1st. i have seen nothing on it.
is comskip the only other solution?

Currently there is no fully working solution. Both Showanalyzer and Comskip are making progress. As you can see the Sept. 1 date for Showanalyzer was an optimistic guess and testing still continues. Patience is required because both developers are forging new frontiers with the h.264 format for commercial detecting. It's an everchanging world and will probably change again when the HD-PVR driver comes out that supports recording in AC3. I think "soon" is a relative word and means different things to different people. Patience is required for a truly workable product. Join the beta testing if you want to help or just wait patiently.
