Skip Forward not Working when Remote

I was away on vacation and took my Mi Box with me. I remoted into my SageTV and everything worked great except being able to Skip Forward. You would see the arrow advance on the timeline and then jump back to the original spot. The video/audio stayed constant and did not advance.

I have seen similar behavior when using the PlaceShifter remotely. Is this because of the connection speed? Anything I can tune to fix the issue?

P.S. Skip Forward worked fine with PLEX.

I assume you were using the MiBox as a placeshifter? I've had some issues where sometimes I can't forward in a video. In some cases, if I just restart the stream it will work. Likely a bug in the miniclient video handling.

Correct. I think I tried that once and it did not seem to work.

Other than not being able to forward, using the MiBox and Mini-Client was the best remote experience I have had in a long time.

I'm not 100% sure why the forward would not work. I do think that in placeshifter mode sagetv is transcoding the file. The skips would be slower, but, they should still work. Likely there is a bug in miniclient player. Unfortunately, I don't do much testing with placeshifter, myself, since, I've never used it
