SageTVClient9 (and 7) sudden quits & spins

I recently upgraded both Server & Client Sage7 => Sage9. Both are running on Windows7 PCs, connected over a GigE network. I had hopped that this would fix a couple long-standing issues I've been seeing on the Sage Client PC but nothing has changed.

1) When I'm watching a show on the Client and do a lot of jumping with FORWARD or REVERSE (short or long jumps) via the remote, Sage will suddenly--without any errors or warnings--quit. It (re)launches without any issue, another than the annoyance. I don't have this issue when watching a show and remote-jumping around with the Server Sage9 (was Sage7) PC.

Below is the Windows log from one of these sudden SageTVClient quits.

2) When I'm watching a show on the Client for a while and then try to jump FORWARD (e.g. at a commercial break), I often get a spinning wheel/icon for "while" before the show continues. This never happens on the Server Sage. After that first jump FWD I can skip a few more times (via the remote button) without the spin/lag, but it will happen again after I've watched the show for a while and try jump FWD again. As I mentioned above, I have a GigE network between Client & Server so a network delay shouldn't be a problem.

First thing I'd do is try a different Video decoder. Hardware Accelerated video is about the only thing sage does that has any risk of crashing like that - could point to a hardware issue or a driver issue.
