sage quits during set up
I've had sage running on its own for a year or so now.
Just upgraded, bought one of those Sempron + Mobo combos, &c. Now, reinstalled XP, reinstalling Sage 4.0 (or 4.1) I can only get about 45 seconds into the setup, then it spontaneously quits out on me. I've swapped out the drivers several times, to no avail. Has anyone else had this happen? I haven't attempted WinTv2000 or anything drastic yet, just wondering is this is a known issue. |

Do you mean the installer or the config process once you start SageTV? If in the installer, I have no idea other than perhaps the install file is corrupt.
If in SageTV, try disabling 3D Acceleration by setting the ui/accelerated_rendering=false property. You could also set the debug_logging=TRUE property (exactly like that) in sage.properties to see what the debug log says. - Andy

got the error
Ok, here's the beginning of the error from the log.
This always happens when my old hard drive (which has 30 gigs of my mp3s on it) is plugged in. Doesn't happen if I leave the drive off. So this would appear to be an importation error. I think I put the latest java version in there when I re-installed windows two weeks ago.
