unRAID + InfiniTV6 PCIe

I've thought about moving to a couple HDHR Primes for CableCard, but it seems a waste of money when I have a perfectly good InfiniTV6 card. If I move my SageTV server to unRAID would it just be a matter of creating a Windows VM with the Ceton software on it, passing the PCIe card through to the VM and making sure that the proper ports are exposed? Would the OpenDCT docker be able to detect and use it?

If you passed the InfiniTV through to a Windows VM, I would recommend just running OpenDCT in the same VM because UDP traffic isn't always that great coming into or out of a VM. OpenDCT would then communicate with SageTV over TCP and also stream the recording through the SageTV media server via TCP.

With some effort, you could also use the InfiniTV via a Linux driver, but you would need to keep on top of re-building it on each unRAID kernel upgrade. I use my InfiniTV's via another Linux box I have running 24/7.
