Migration to Schedules Direct completed
I must say I was really nervous about doing this. Having SageTV back on my system has been so nice that I just didn't want to mess it up. But yesterday I figured that I had better start while I had some time for things to go wrong since the conversion had to be done by July.
I am running Windows 10 pro and SageTV V9.0.13.536 with the original HDHomerun box with 2 tuners. It is not set up as a server and not using any clients. So this is probably a fairly vanilla install.
First I went to the schedules direct website and signed up and paid the annual fee. Then I went into my SageTV setup of video sources and deleted one tuner and then added it again using schedules direct as the guide input. I was prompted for the SD username and password that I had set up and chose the region and zip and cable service. I told it to scan the channels and went through the tedious part of getting the logical channel numbers changed and the names set up properly. After I was done I went back and deleted the other tuner and added it and told it to use the lineup that I had setup for the first one. I exited and went to the program guide and every channel was perfect with the usual guide data. My recordings were all still setup and everything is right as rain.
To everyone who worked to make this such an easy transition in the software, THANKYOU!!
To everyone who is hesitant to make the change, go ahead and jump in. You will be fine!!
