usb-uirt

A few questions:

The usb-uirt has 3 ports (1 on the face, and two using a splitter from the dual stereo jack).

1. Without the use of the zone annotation (e.g. "Z1") in the .ir file does it send the signal to ALL ports?
2. If one uses two zone - which are used? the two from the stereo only?
3. If one uses three zones which is which? Z1 is assigned to front face?

When using the IR transmitters I've noticed they have tape on the back... how does that help doesnt it transmit out of the opposite (non-taped) side? How do you easily attach to a cable box

Thanks in advane.

Z3 is the front face.
If no zone is specified, it uses all 3 zones. If a zone is specified, it just use the specified zone.
If you specify zones, you can use whatever combination of 1,2, or3 zones you want.
