Logitech website - Harmony remote owners - signing in?

Question for Logitech Harmony Remote owners - have you tried to sign in to your Logitech account lately, and if so, were you able to?
I've been trying since last night and all that happens is the equivalent of a Mac spinning circle, i.e. the page just keeps refreshing itself and nothing happens.
I tried to sign in using both an iOS device, and a Windows 10 PC. No go.
Can someone try and let me know if you were successful?
thanks

I went to the legacy login (seems it wants you to download software to set up now) and got a pop up saying I needed to install silverlight. Is that still a thing?

Just download their Harmony Remote Software and log into your account (or create a new one, if it's not recognized) to set up your remote. It works great.

I couldn't get that link to work and it took me a second to notice the link in the text of the page, so I'm pointing that out for the OP. I wouldn't expect the website login to work forever, since they began moving away from it quite some time ago.

However, that link goes here:

https://setup.myharmony.com/MartiniW....aspx?cl=en-US

I'm also inferring that this site only works with the latest Harmony remotes, not the older generations.

hey guys, thanks. I was trying log into the forums via the support page, which apparently requires a different password than the one I have stored for the pages you posted. Who knew.
Now that that's out of the way - I haven't programmed one of my remotes for a couple of years maybe. Is it possible to do so WITHOUT being on the internet? I'm considering of investing in Harmony remotes a little more, but was concerned when they were considering selling out.
The idea of relying on an internet site from a defunct company to update an expensive product worries me a bit....
So is it possible, or do we HAVE to be connected online?

Harmony remotes are made by Logitech. As far as I know they are not defunct.

You download the software to your PC and program it from there. I am guessing that it checks the master DB of devices via the internet.

You do need to be connected to the internet, but, as NetworkGuy said, it's Logitech. They are nowhere near defunct. Their commitment to remotes may appear spotty over the years, with their lack of new remotes for long stretches of time, but the old ones have been manufactured and sold forever. Granted, they don't sell some models, but those are generally ones which had a replacement come out (in Logitech's mind) or simply didn't do well.

The latest hub remotes are unbelievably easy to program and use. There's another thread around here where I and another user pointed out that older relatives (in their 70s or more) who are not technically inclined are using the remote without issue.

Yup, understand that. But a couple of years back they were going to sell the company, and then changed their minds for some reason. Maybe no one wanted it? Anyways, that's still in the back of my mind, aka it's a business that isn't doing well and either needs to be sold, or worse, folded.

If you base a company's success on its stock price and whether or not they're meeting investor expectations, they're doing extremely well.

That was some time ago and logitech was considering selling the remote portion. They are now a player in the smart home market which is booming right now.

Their stock is only going up so they aren't going anywhere. Especially since their remotes are cheaper and more functional than ever.

OK, that's comforting to know. You'd have to think if they were going to close the doors, they'd make the current directory of devices available as a download so current owners would have a database to work from

I might be the reason the stock is doing well because I just dropped a pile of cash replacing all my 8-10 year old harmony remotes with the new flavor. Got lucky and found a couple of the Companion ones (hub and simple remote with no screen) for $39 at best buy and fell in love with the ability to adjust settings via the app. I hated the old usb sync process that sometimes required the original usb cable which I could never find, and even then took multiple attempts to finish. New process is all via the app, although you can use the new version of software too. You can then use your smartphone as the remote, and the current status of all devices syncs with the hub, so you can switch back and forth between the included remote and the app. Also, the new hubs now talk to Alexa, not my thing yet, but maybe in the future. I now own two touches, two companions, and two elites to replace their old 550s and a 300 something.

Tough to pull the trigger as I had really bad experiences with their 890, which was very susceptible to static. Lost 3, and all logitech would do is offer 50% off MSRP, which was still more expensive than store prices for new. So far so good though.
