SageTV not finding HDHomeRun tuners

Running SageTV v7 on Windows 10. Original model HDHomeRun.

It's been a long while since I last set up SageTV. But I remember the HDHomeRun tuner just showing up when I went to add video sources. Now they're not.

I'm sure they're working since I can watch through the HDHomeRun app itself.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

After sage is installed, go back into HDHomeRun Setup and look on the first tab. Select SageTV from the list of dropdown DBA Compatibility Modes. The SageTV mode will not be there if you don't have sage installed.

Thanks but it was already (and still is) selected. Still won't show in SageTV.

What version of the HDHomerun Installer are you using ?? the beta versions remove the HDHomerun Service from windows 10 Installs.

Well I finally stumbled on a solution.

I noticed that in Sage properties the line: "network_encoder_discovery=false"

I changed it to "network_encoder_discovery=true" and it found them.

Seems bizarre to me especially since I uninstalled and reinstalled (after deleting the sage folder) at least twice. Why would it be false by default?
