XMLTV EPG

Just did an install of V9 on Windows 10 x64 after I accidentally messed up my trusty V7 install.

In v7 I used an XMLTV file along with StephaneM's XML import tool for the EPG.

I have created the DVB-S .frq files, but when I select 'Use US, Canada or XMLTV Guide Data" in V9 the UI requests the Postcode/Zip and then gives an error message "The was an error connecting to the SageTV Server".

On my old V7 after entering any old ZIP code, it would give me the option to select the Lineup I have created in Stephane's import tool.

Is this a bug in v9 or do i need to configure something else ? Its been many years since I originally set up this importer.

Is this a new install? If so have you installed StephaneM's XMLTV Importer? Part of StephaneM's installer modifies in SageTV.properties file. If not you may have to uninstall and the reinstall XMLTV Importer.

Fixed

Thanks for you help Dean. I have found some instructions to manually make the necessary changes on the LMGestion.net website FAQ.

Cheers
Allan

Where are you located? You may find it is going to be better to utilize Schedules Direct for your EPG source. They have added quite a few markets to their service over the last year.

I used it as well but switched to Linux and needed to rebuild the XMLTV import classes. I found one still open source and updated it so it works with latest JDK's and Maven. I use it now on my Linux V9 without any issues. Coming from Stephan's tool, it is a bit more work with a text editor but not such a pain as I expected. I can't try it on Windows - don't have a running Windows setup anymore - if you find some time it would be nice to see if my port is working on Windows as well. I use the WebGrab+Plus as EPG grabber, which runs on Windows fine (I run it as docker with mono).
