If you have a the web interface installed you can force an update from the main page there. I am seeing the same issue though so there seems to be some problem with the EPG source.

Had the same problem and forcing an EPG update had no apparent effect. Following the instructions in this message http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...704#post119704 seems to have fixed it. Of course, YMMV.

Thanks, it looks like that fixed it for me. After removing the server_update_id entries and restarting the service the data eventually came back. Thanks!

Worked for me too... I had to delete both lines and then do an EPG forced update from the web UI. In about 10 minutes everything was back to normal.

you just remove the entries AFTER server_**_** and NOT the headings themselves, correct?

It worked for me too. I deleted the one line that had 'server_update_id' and forced an update by toggling a channel in channel setup back and forth.

There is a caveat here, and I got burned by it last time. If you are like me for example on Bell Satellite and you have channels disabled in the channel manager for your line up (French stations, on demand Vu channels, NHL channels, channels you don't subscribe to, etc), when you delete the properties as mentioned in the above link, all channels in that lineup are enabled again.

Fortunately I wrote down this time what channels should be enabled based on my subscription before I wiped the properties out so disabling the ones I don't need / don't get should go a lot faster this time.

That sounds like you deleted more than just the properties containing server_update_id and expanded_until.

I've done this many times over the years and never had it reset any disabled channels.

I can confirm those are the only two entries I've deleted. I've done this process maybe four times I can think of over the last 5 or 6 years and the result is the same each time. I can send you a copy of the properties file if you wish so I can show you what the lines look like on my end.

That is strange. I have done this procedure 7 or 8 times now on a couple different SageTV servers and I have never seen it re-enable channels that were previously disabled.

So here is an excerpt from my sage properties file. As per the FAQ, I deleted the "server_update_id" line and "expanded until" line.
Anytime I have ever done this, I've had to re-disable channels that I don't want showing in the guide from the lineup because they are either non english, PPV, descriptive video channels, etc.
I have bolded those two sections below. Am I missing something here as to why others don't see to have that issue?

I asked more about this because your server_update_id line is different from what I expected, but as far as we can tell, deleting only the 'server_update_id' and 'expanded_until' lines should have no effect on your disabled channels.

Maybe you are also affecting the 'unavailable_channel_nums' and/or 'unavailable_stations' properties; by accident if not on purpose.

I don't remember hearing from anyone else about disabled channels getting enabled after this process.
