Memory cards vs. the airport
I've been through the airport scanners quite a few times with my Sammy S4 and never had an issue, but I just lost everything on an inserted PNY 32GB card - I noticed it as I returned from a recent International trip. My laptop bag w/phone did get some extra attention on the return trip due to all the electronics in it. I read claims airport scanners don't harm memory devices.
Any tech folks here that can comment on this, or related stories? |

this happened to me a few years ago, I lost all of my MP3's ...
Depending of the strength of the x-ray equipment being used, this can certainly happen. Length of time also effects the outcome. I hope you only lost replaceable data. |

I have never had this happen and I travel internationally, and within NA, many times per year and my computer bag often gets scanned twice.
