lucene core clarification

Heelo,
Just updated from 7.1.9 to v9 - I had the lucene core plugin installed, removed it, copied the replacement lucene into the jar directoy, and all seems well.

However, when I look at the list of installed plugins, lucene is not in the list. Do I have to install it now? How do I check that it is working? (not sure what it is a dependecny for)

Thanks.

You do not want or need the plugin but you need the file as sage needs it in v9

Sounds like you have it correct.

Got it - thanks. Since Sage needs the lucene core to operate, Sage itself wouldnt work without it. Is that true?

Thanks.
