DVD rip audio strangeness...
I've got a rip from a British music DVD. The vob's sit in a properly named folder on my Sage server, and were likely ripped by ?
When accessed from ANY computer using VLC as a player, everything's great - chapters, video, audio (there's only two audio track, stereo and mono - the material is before the time of 5.1) So, here's the odd thing: when playing this particular rip back thru either a Sage HDXXX media extender, or via Sage software on my server, the audio plays back with either distortion; like it's been slowed down to 15 frames per second (video plays at the right speed), or a combo of both. When playing back the VOB files on an iPad via AirVideo, the files all sound fine. So, what am I looking for on my server that it's missing? is it a codec problem? if it is, this is the only rip I have that does this. I've never heard it with another disc, so I've got no way to know how to troubleshoot it. According to VLC, the audio codec seems to be DVD LPCM Audio (lpcm) Video stream is MPG 1/2 video (mpgv) 720x480 Frame rate: 59.94009 Decoded format: Planar 4.2.0 YUV

I admit I don't have a real answer, but I would try converting it to another format (using handbrake or something) and see if that works.
If the single file version works and you were married to keeping dvd format, you could use dvd authoring software to put it back into native dvd (VOB) format.
