Tuner recommendations please
Hello,
I'm currently using a Motorola DCT6200 via FireWire. It's all working fine, however Comcast are upgrading again, and apparently this box will stop receiving all the channels I currently get. I also have an RNG110 stb which almost works over FW, but I can't get a picture. So....I'm wondering what to do next. Do I buy a new tuner of some sort? If so, which? Do I go cablecard? But I don't think this is working reliable still (is it?). Or do I just give up and ask Comcast for a DVR? I'd rather not as I much prefer the sage UI and experience. Any tips or recommendations would be very welcome. Thanks. |

Go cable card I have Comcast in Pittsburgh and get all my channels in HD but the premiums. I also have the newer tuner you have and could only use FireWire for channel changing. If you can record it on your old FireWire setup the cable card should get it.
