SageTV Client won't connect
I have Windows 10 Pro, and I have the Sage client installed. I ran it for awhile with no license, and it asked for one now. I entered it, and it just says now:
Server Connection Lost The connection to the SageTV Server has been lost. Attempting to restore the connection... Under General -> Automatically Connect to Server, it has the right IP address to the server. I messed around with the firewall, and put it on manual, but there is no request for firewall access when I launch it. I even told the firewall to allow all (AVG). Can anyone help? |

Never mind, solved it....was using the license on another computer. Found out by turning auto-connect off.
BTW, can you use a single client license if not using simultaneously? |

Nope the license is tied to the computer unless you restart the service each time.

You might think about moving to v9 and not worrying with licenses anymore. (with the exception of the server for EPG data).

Is there a guide to switching from from paid to free? Do I need to re-install everything? Also, I assume we need to pay for the EPG.
How many people have switched? |

Not a concise guide yet. And no, you don't have to pay for EPG if you've already done so (meaning if you've got a sagetv server license, you can continue to use the sagetv EPG server in the open source (v9) version.
