Client won't connect .. again
I can ping the server from the laptop, the IP looks good. Windows firewall has the exclusion from both machine. I'm not sure what changed, is there a checklist I can check against? It was just working and stopped.
Last time it was the firewall after the version update, I have not updated Sage this type. |

This FAQ is the list that I know about. Have you restarted the SageTV server? Was there a glitch on the server that somehow reset the option telling it to enable it to be a server?

Also, totally turn off the Firewall for a while and try it.
If you have a router between you and the Internet, I'd forget using Windows Firewall (or any other), unless that same PC has teen-agers surfing the bad sites. |

Thanks I'll try those. I can't figure out what changed, it was all working after the last time I updated Sage on both machine.

I get this splash screen for like two minutes:
"SageTV connection is initializing..." Then this message: "Unable to connect to the Sage server at the specified address.." Is there a log somewhere that specifies the exact error? I have the firewalls off. They are the same version and the network works fine. Server is on in the settings. I'm running service mode if that matters. I'm running out of ideas. |
