Sage Service and Win 10
I upgraded to Windows 10 on two computers.
The first computer had Sage installed before I upgraded. The program to control Sage Service works. The second computer had Sage installed after the upgrade to Windows 10. The program to control Sage Service will not run. No error messages, it just won't run. Any suggestions on how to control Sage Service so that it will record programs with out being logged on and the main Sage Program running? |

Everything can be done without SageTVServiceControl.
SageTVService.exe -remove SageTVService.exe -install net start SageTV net stop SageTV login user and password can be set from the services control panel.

I've been tempted to go Win 10 on my Sage server as I've done the in place upgrade on 4 other home win 7 machines and all are running great (and feel a little faster, all have SSDs as boot drive.)
Anyone else running Sage on Win 10 and how's it going? Thanks

I'm running my SageTV server just fine on Windows 10. Probably want to make sure you have the latest Java 7 installed.

Running SageTV via SSD on Win10pro. Seems to run as well as it did under Win7ultimate & Win8.1pro.

Upgraded to win10, couldn't get working last night or this morning. Looked like service was starting ok but nothing would connect to it. Nothing in the logs. Non responsive exception when I tried to stop it.
Just checked the service.exe compatability and it was set to winxp. Removed this and now it is running fine. Managed to suppress a family mutiny just in time.

Thanks for the tip. It is a pain to do it that way but it works.
My next problem is that I am trying to get a new HD300 to work. It looks like the Sage service still isn't working correctly. I can use the HD300 to watch videos from the WEB. It will see and connect to my Sage server but when it switches to the server the screen go blank on both the analog and HDMI outputs. |

I'm running win 10.
all fine except for a small thing (may not be due to W10). It wont detect free drive space, so recording/liveTV go to 0kb and crash sage service. Only way around is to manually make sure i have enough free space on recording drive. (set to leave 20GB)
