HD300 with new LG TV - no signal after watching for a while

I replaced my phillips 46" tv with a new Samsung 4K TV. things seemed okay at start but while watching shows the tv I often get a screen pop-up that indicates there is no signal on this HDMI port.

Anyone see anything like this before. I doubt it is the HD300 as it worked just fine on the old TV.

I am trying a few of the 1920x1080 output resolutions.. ie moving from i to p and 23.976 to 59.94 resoltuion. I am also toggling to 'use native resolution button.'

any other ideas?

Try a shorter HDMI cable.

I was thinking that.. already have a 2 foot cable so can't get much shorter

But I will try a different cable the next time it happens.

The HD300 seems to have a notoriously weak HDMI signal strength, and many have reported issues with it. Probably the most surefire way is an HDMI amp or an active HDMI cable that will boost the signal between the HD300 and the tv. This will ensure the levels are up to the new tv's apparently higher standards, and keep them talking. It looks like monoprice has a 6 ft active cable for under $10:
