Colossus - color settings

Does anyone have any color settings dialed in for the Colossus recording? I'm currently using it with the Hauppauge capture software and I'm finding that the default color settings are way off. The video is far too bright and saturation is heavy. With an HDMI input, using the Colossus software, I have control over the brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation.

I also seem to see what appears to be a cloud around one specific shade, as if it can't properly dither from one color shade to the next. Upon checking with Mediainfo, it appears to be the same 8-bits "bit depth" as any other video, so not sure what's causing the issue.

Has anyone struggled to get the color looking correct?

Because many members in this community have an intimate understanding of this particular piece of hardware, and I'm a member of this community.

It has nothing to do my attitude
The reason way I ask is I though you ref to sagetv and you was try make it stick at lease that what kind of sound like to me.
Which Hauppauge capture software are you ref ?.
WinTV 7, 8, Showbiz or Hauppauge Capture?.
When say (video is far too bright and saturation is heavy)
Do other video player show that show problem or is only Per-view video you the Live buffers ?.

Showbiz V3.5.17.77 -----> Capture Module
Currently at default settings:
Brightness = 128
Contrast = 0
Hue = 0
Saturation = 0
(the rest of the settings are not available, via HDMI)

Attached is a VLC screenshot of Interstellar.

Attempts to correct for the "faded", "washed out" or "light" look of the video seems to result in oversaturation.

Odd I think that should have been
Brightness = 125
Contrast = 128
Hue = 128
Saturation = 128
or
Brightness = 125
Contrast = 128
Hue = 0
Saturation = 0

I have dig one of Colossus out and have look at
How ever Interstellar dose look to be a little over bright
