Neutral Color Settings

On a side note, does anyone know what the "neutral" (nothing added; nothing taken away) bightness, contrast, etc. encoding settings are for the new Sage version.

It seems that the Hauppauge default values are something other than neutral. Even though many people have posted their preferences (1.4), I would like to know what is neutral so that calibrated picture control output, which also involves other sources, should than be reasonably valid for the Hauppauge.

If you install ffdshow, turn on the dscaler historgram filter, and select Default as your renderer you can see a histogram while calibrating. This works quite well for brightness/contrast.

You can see some more/related info here:

Although you don't need any of the graphedit stuff with 2.0, you can see the histogram from inside the Capture Color Calibration screen.

I haven't yet found a good way to set Hue/Saturation.
