Glitch
Just noticed a glitch in the mpeg stream, it looked like a 6x3 square thing with a checkerboard pattern, it was quite small but there were a few of them on screen.
Anyone any ideas what generally causes this? |

does this appear in all recordings or just rarely
I find that every once in a while I will get some digital blocks with Sage but I think it is an error in the stream and has nothing to do with my side of things |

Just noticed it last night for the first time.

Is it only showing up in Sage, or does the same glitch show up if you view the digibox output directly (it may have been glitches in Sky's MPEG stream -- sunspots/planes flying past the sat etc!)

I would blame Sky then

Got another glitch on a Sky One recording, digital blocks and the sounds blipped. Again though, no idea if it was the Source or the HTPC that caused it.

a program running in the background could cause this
or running a program while something is recording especially the sound distortion but normally it is from the source have you never seen anything like this when watching TV (w/o Sage) I watched a comcast pay per view movie at my friends home and every few minutes we got one of those We were mad (this does not happen all the time, just one bad night) |

At a relatives house I've seen it 'block up' before but not squeel, unless an electric storm has been passing by, then the signal just breaks down completely, yesterday was a nice day though
