Bell Fibe TV - EPG information

Hi Folks:
I just got Bell FibeTV ..(in Toronto, Canada) set up my video source with Bell Fibe selected and extended service. A number of channels I have appear to have to be added manually and when I do so the Sage Program guide indicates no data. I have been using SageTV for some time and was great until everybody went digital ... now I am having a bit of trouble understanding how to get the EPG info for all the various channels.

Is there a file that could be imported with active channels for my area?

I have done a bit of reading about using various services like Schedule Direct etc. but a lot of posts and info on the net seems rather dated ... is there a current version of a basic "how to for newbies" to getting alternative EPG data?

ANy suggestions / information will be most welcome.

Best regards, Dave Melnyk

I wrote the server-side portion of the Schedules Direct grabber which implements the JSON service; slugger wrote the client-side. (Discussion is in the v7 customization forum).

If you're a Schedules Direct customer and the lineup is inaccurate then you can submit a ticket to us, and we'll work with our upstream Tribune/Gracenote and Bell to get the lineup corrected. Sometimes that mean _convincing_ the provider that the lineup that they sent to Tribune doesn't match the reality of what they're actually putting on the wire, which happens a lot.

Once the lineup has been corrected then I believe that slugger's grabber will let you know that there's been an update to the lineup - there's a status field from server->client that lets the client know that the lineup needs a refresh. (And you'll get a response back from Schedules Direct regarding the ticket that you opened).
