Question: Bell going to 4 digit chanels

Has anyone noticed that Bell is moving their HD chanels to channels with 4 digits i.e. 1403. I have not seen the new channes show up in my Sage EPG yet as I know you need to reconfigure Sage to send 4 digits instead of three.

Does anyone have any more info on this?

bump.

Basically we need to prefix a 1 for most channels. The Prefix Code option looked like the answer but so far it isn't what I thought.
You'll find the digit number option under the Video Source, makes sense to put it under each tuner device. However setting it to 4 doesn't change the EPG.

Perhaps this will take some more time to catch up?

has zap2it been updated with the changes? If not, you should post in the EPG forum here, and Sage will forward the request to zap2it. Once it's updated there, it should populate to your EPG in short order.

The setting in sage is the MINIMUM number of digits it will send. example, with the default of 3 digits:

Ch 7 sends 0-0-7
Ch 24 sends 0-2-4
Ch 143 sends 1-4-3
Ch 1403 sends 1-4-0-3

The EPG changed last night and im having lots of trouble with it. When i switch to 4 digits, my 6141 receiver messes up when it receives 4 numbers starting with a 0. it inserts a - in the middle
Lets say i want to tune to channel 575... when sage enters 0575 my stb does 057-5 which returns to channel 10.
Is there any way to make sure sage tunes 3 channels when 3 channels are required and 4 when 4 are required ?

Thanks

yes, looking at my previous post, if you set sage to tun 3 channels, it will.... the only time it should tune 4 is when the channel number is 4 digits.

4 Digits and SageMC

Is there somewhere in SageMC where I can set 4 digit channel tuning. I can select 4 digit channels by scrolling up and down the guide, but when I try to type in 4 digits to jump to that point in the guide, it only accepts 3. Been all through the SageMC setup and can't find a way to fix this.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Tnx
