Comcast Houston 612 No Signal

I'm trying to debug something strange that just happened tonight.

I was watching a show on NBC channel 612 and at about 9PM the screen goes black and it says No Signal.

I'm using an HD Home Run Prime with 3 tunnels. I'm running the latest released driver/firmware on it.

If I open the HDHomeRun Setup app, go to the CableCard tab, click on 612 it opens up in the HDHomeRun QuickTV and plays with no problem.

I go back to SageTV 7 and I get no signal.

So I'm kinda at a loss here. I know the signal is there and it is coming in fine, but SageTV for some reason can't find out.

Any ideas on debug steps in this situation?

Could the station have gone copy protected now?

If it was Copy Protected it would not play in QuickTV. QuickTV will try and play it but it will not but it will tell you that it is copy protected.

Scratch that thought then. You can tell I don't have one installed yet.

Yeah the only thing that can still play copy protected is WMC. That is what has forced me to setup my main HTPC with WMC.

Can we assume you are using Sage DCT?
I've seen where some channels assigned to an OTA tuner will not show up on the Prime.

Does the problem recording play in VLC?

Had similar things happen sporadically with the locals. One day it would record, the next day it wouldn't. Switched that setup to record via ffmpeg (via SageDCT setup), and that seemed to clear it up. The only side effect was that channel tuning seemed to take a bit longer.

Is this impacting all channels or just the one? If all, check your firewall. Maybe the ports used by SageDCT are being blocked.

The user is talking about one channel see the heading of the post. I had one channel the discovery channel I have 2 primes on one it said no signal the other it played just fine all other channels played on both. So I just disabled it on that one prime after a few days I tried it again and it played fine of both Primes. So since he hasn't posted back I guess the problem went away. Don't you just hate it when someone posses a question and then do not respond if it is fixed or not. I always try and respond whether negative or positive.

If all tuners are not set up to use that channel then Sage will not seea tuner in use. Same as having WMC and Sage on the same network. If WMC tunes a channel on one tuner and Sage attemps to use the same tuner it will fail. No warning or anything because sage doesn't see the tuner that WMC is using.
