Menu Default Ignored on Extenders

I have my default submenu defined under TV\Recordings to be Current Recordings. However, the selector keeps going to Recorded Movies. If I hide Recorded Movies in the Menu Manger I can no longer get into the recordings menu. How can o fix this, it used to work fine.

I may need a little more info about what you are trying to do and your expected result.

The Default Option when set to Yes will be the menu item that is selected when you first enter the menu. If you had previously been in that submenu then it tries to remember the last entry and return to it.

You can also move the "Current Recordings" menu item to the top of the submenu as well as setting it to Default if it's the item you want to pick most often (in Menu Manager press the Right key to change into MOVE mode and then press up/down to move the menu item and press LEFT to exit MOVE mode).

Point was missed....

All that stuff you said used to work. After I deleted my WIZ.bin file to try and fix a problem with no shows scheduled to record this menu stopped working. It looks like I might have a corrupt config file someplace for the menu structure.

Is there a way to reset the menu back to default or reset the HD300 extender config store so it starts over from scratch? Even re-importing my working exports of the menu and flows doesn't fix it. However the SageTV clients work fine.

The menu manager has a Load Defaults option you can try.

There is a clients folder in sagetv folder that contains the extender properties files...you can copy them to a temp folder and they will get recreated when the extender is restarted (may need the server restarted too).

Got it working again! I had to go into the utility functions and select clear settings. I then selected Delete Server Settings and everything went back to normal.
