Manual Recordings on ALL Recordings
So, when my computer cratered and I reloaded SageTV on a new machine, I was able to pull the Sage.Properties and the Wiz.Bin off the old HDD and move them to the new one.
All good, right? Well, some Sage recordings were found as imported media. Unfortunate, but a minor price to pay for a fairly smooth recovery to a new machine. However, the rest of the recordings are now in the SageTV recordings directory marked as "Manual" recordings. So the view shows them all at the top, while all the new recordings are at the bottom. Caused a little confusion at first because I thought it wasn't recording (but it was). Any ideas as to how to clear the manual recordings? OR is there a way to ignore the "Manual" vs "Favourite" recording so that the recording view is all in date order? The only STV I'm currently using is the Commercial Detection one. Thanks!

When inside the listing, get to the options.
It is most likely the Sorting is set to Intelligent (seems to be the default) Change it to the Sort Order you wish it to be. Not sure for the Default STV but you may wish to to it for both the Group List and the Individual (within Group) List. Should only have to do it for the Individual List once and it will handle for all of them. |

+1 to check the sort options. I have manual recordings and favorites intertwined, they don't cluster together. I usually sort alphabetically or by record date.
In the SageTV web interface you can browse recordings, select all, then under "action on selected" there is an option to "Clear Manual Recording Status". Use at your own risk though, I have no idea what side effects this would cause. I somewhat doubt it would go re-assign manual recordings to existing favorites. Conceivably without any recording flag at all your recordings might show under videos. |

Thanks for the advice! I didn't see the "Clear Manually Recorded Status", but I was looking over by the "Archived" attribute, so I must have just missed it.
That being said, re-sorting would solve all the problems without having to go through 40+ recordings and changing them.
